Under My Tree...

by Olivia Cunning

Happy Holidays!

We're supposed to blog about what we want to find under out tree on Christmas morning, but what I really want for Christmas wouldn't fit under my tree.

Granted, this would look nice under my tree. And I'm sure he'd fit.

I wouldn't complain if I found this Santa under my tree Christmas morning.

It would be incredible if all the members of the fictional band in my Sinners on Tour series were real for one day. I'd love to hang out with them. They're so sexy and fun!

And this certainly wouldn't fit under my tree, but it would fit in my driveway, so feel free to indulge me.

But considering that I live in Nebraska and it has been sub-zero cold and snowy for the past week, what I really want to find under my tree is this:

I'm dreaming of a warm Christmas. Perhaps I should just move my Christmas tree to the beach. Problem solved.

Where is your favorite place to spend the holidays?

  1. I'd like to spend just one Christmas with all my family, but half is in Indiana and the other half is in Quebec, so I'll stay home as usual (half way between) and spend it in the arms of the man I love.

  2. Here, with all my kids. When we lived in central Florida, it did get cold, but when we went to Orlando to Christmas shop, it was always hot and it really didn't put us in the mood for Christmas. We had a silver tree even, instead of a nice green one like we'd had in all the other places we'd lived. We don't have snow here either, but it's cold and it feels like Christmas. Now, I just need to shop for it, decorate and all that stuff. How in the world did it get here so quickly???

  3. Merry Christmas, Olivia! I'm sure you'll have tons of fun with those toys! I'll be home for Christmas, but that beach looks fabulous.

  5. I want to be home for Christmas, and likely I will be. I want chilly weather at least, a dusting of snow, and maybe a call from Beloved Offspring. What I like most about the holidays as they've befallen me lately is days and days of peace and quiet, not having to run anywhere, not having to be anybody but myself. That right there is a huge gift, and a wonderful way to end the year.

  6. Sounds good to me, Marleen.

Terry, I spent one Christmas in Key West, Florida. I was five. My mom said it didn't feel like Christmas, but I'd like to come to that conclusion myself. I haven't started getting ready either. Too busy.

Merry Christmas, Cheryl. A girl can never have too many toys.

I'm sure I could talk my entire family into going to a tropical island for Christmas if I footed the bill. :-) You're free to join me, Carolyn. Just let me sell this extra kidney.

It's great to unwind during the holidays, Grace. The best part of the holidays for me is a two week break from the day job. And this year, the kid being home from college. Happy holidays!

  9. I have never seen snow, so I wish I could spend Christmas somewhere where I could play in the white stuff, rather than just dream about it. I will be spending my holiday bouncing back and forth from various homes, as usual. My mom and I will be going to Disney World the last part of January, so that's what I am REALLY looking forward to.

Christmas will come in November, next year, when the next Sinners book comes out!!!!!

  10. Joanne- Christmas is always more fun with little ones. Enjoy them!

Shana- I spend every Christmas at my parents'. A lot of it's appeal is the food. LOL!

Jennie- I'm glad I've seen snow, but I don't like it. At all. Mostly because I have to drive in it. Disney sounds fun! Next November seems so far away. sigh...
