As I start this guest post, I’m remembering the first time I
was invited to the Casablanca Author’s Blog back in 2009. The book was Lucky
in Love and I was so very excited to have my first cowboy romance on the
market. To be invited to the Casablanca Blog was icing on the top of the pretty
cupcake.
Now it’s eight years and 23 cowboy books later with
Sourcebooks. Add in two women’s fiction books and it brings the number up to
25. With Talk Cowboy to Me I went back to that first book, Lucky in
Love, and talked to another Luckadeau cousin, Remington. He’d been left
with the responsibility of raising two nephews and he was looking at a
particular ranch in north central Texas, not far from Nocona. Then I visited
with one of those sassy O’Donnell women, Adele, who was recently divorced, had
two small daughters to raise on her own and just happened to be looking at the
same ranch. Oh, I could see the sparks were going to fly for sure, the minute I
put the two of them at the table with the ranch owner. And believe me they did.
This is my last contracted book with Sourcebooks so it
seemed fitting to throw a Luckadeau from the first series together with an
O’Donnell, who had some sassy ladies and sexy cowboys in both the Spikes &
Spurs Series as well as the Burnt Boot Series. It was sure a fun and exciting
book to write and I hope all my readers love revisiting the characters in the
previous series.
Talk Cowboy To Me has amazing reviews:
"A sweet story about building family out of what life
hands you. " – Kirkus
“A light-hearted plot filled with
engaging storytelling and amusing, colorful, down-to-earth characters make
Brown’s latest stand out. A strong, gutsy, stubborn heroine in Adele and an
equally stubborn yet easy-going cowboy in Remington will appeal to readers. The
chemistry and tension between them is both sweet and passionate. This sexy,
heartwarming Texas romance is sure to delight Brown fans everywhere.” —RT

Carolyn Brown brings her signature southern quirkiness to this original tale of Texas love.
One cowboy. One cowgirl. One ranch.
Who will win the Double Deuce by the Fourth of July?
Adele O'Donnell knew that Double Deuce Ranch had to be hers the second she walked onto the property. Freshly divorced, she sees it as the perfect spot for her and the kids to start a new life. Remington Luckadeau was always a carefree playboy...until his suddenly orphaned nephews became his responsibility. The Double Deuce Ranch would be the perfect place to raise two boys. But some fiery woman is fighting him for it, and Remington is not sharing-no matter how the sparks fly when he and Adele are together.
